Great flying weekend

Lots of action this weekend. Some of the group flying to Lillooet and some to Courtney for lunch.

Seven airplanes from King George flew into Quilchena for lunch on Saturday. The weather was perfect and the air smooth at 9000 ft. A great start to the group flying season.

Congratulations.

Sharron worked hard for her passenger carrying rating and finally got there. Well done.

Langley aero club has a number of planes going to Vargs island on sunday , may 13th if anyone is interested.  The tide s will be very good.

Quilchena Hotel  opens up for the season on Thursday May 10 2012. It's that time again for lunch trips to Quilchena. 

Hastings Field for a coffee break

After visiting with the Nanaimo Flying Club we made a quick stop at Hastings Field. A gust of wind gave me good sideways push, just as I was coming in final. A little scream, a little stick, a little rudder, and I was rolling nicely down the runway. What a great day!
